Several years ago, my sister, Georgia, killed herself. It was the worst day of my life.
But hope can spring from tragedy.
Recently I was interviewed by Dr. Reef Karim, a Los Angeles psychiatrist on the faculty of the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. We discussed depression -- a theme that runs throughout my mystery/suspense novel "Fast Track," drawn, in part, from my sister's suicide.
The interview is now available as a podcast sponsored by The Depression is Real Coalition, a group dedicated to helping people who suffer from depression. Here's the link to our conversation:

It's show #34. I hope you'll give it a listen. Thanks.

On Saturday, Oct. 18 at 6pm I'll be speaking and signing books at Cafe Tea, 9 North Main Street in Ambler, PA just north of Philadelphia. Cafe Tea is a funky little place where you can always hear great jazz and stimulating conversation. Sharon Akbar is your personable hostess. She has worked hard to create an inviting atmosphere in this cozy gathering place in the heart of Ambler just off Butler Pike. It's a great place to get connected to some very interesting people. Hope to see you there.
